COMMabstract
This paper addresses the holonic and isoarchic point of view of logistics systems, applied to Physical Internet. After describing the context of current logistics systems and the resulting difficulties, the Physical Internet paradigm’s basis are recalled. Then, the principles of the structure of the global logistics' problem via a holonic paradigm and isoarchic approach are detailed. The three types of holonic entities and their roles are described and research prospects are outlined.
